R|B partner, Paul Schlaud, recently spoke with the Austin-American Statesman and Texas Public Radio praising his former boss, Chief Judge Merrick Garland of the D.C. Circuit. Paul clerked for Chief Judge Garland in 1999-2000. On March 16, 2016, President Obama nominated Chief Judge Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court seat left vacant by the recent death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
