In addition to an extensive legal and executive administrative background, Susan also has previous human resource experience in the areas of benefits, staffing and employee relations. Susan received a B.A. in Speech Communications from Texas State University (1993).
Jacob Sanchez, Paralegal

Jacob serves as the firm’s dedicated paralegal. His responsibilities include assisting our attorneys with all aspects of their practice, including case management, drafting pleadings and discovery, and preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial. Prior to joining Reeves & Brightwell, Jacob worked as a litigation paralegal for a large Texas-based firm and as a Court Clerk at the Travis County District Clerk’s Office. Jacob completed the Paralegal Certificate Program at the University of Texas, specializing in civil litigation, and holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University.
Cheryl Koenig, Controller

Cheryl has been a CPA for more than 30 years and held a number of financial management positions before joining the firm in 2014. She has extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis, cash management, tax, budgeting, and human resources. Cheryl received a B.B.A. in Accounting (with Highest Honors) from the University of Texas at Austin (1983).
Jerilynn Stubbs, Assistant Controller

Jerilynn graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and received her CPA certification in 1993. Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Jerilynn worked in public accounting and spent 13 years as a part-time controller for two Austin-area firms. Her specialty areas include general ledger accounting and preparation of financial statements.
