Laura is an experienced litigator with a background in commercial litigation and insurance defense. She has experience advising clients through a variety of complex civil matters involving products liability, breach of contract, negligence and other torts, construction, and transportation claims. Laura was inspired to go to law school after working as a litigation paralegal and assisting with two trials in her hometown of Seattle. After law school, Laura served as an appellate law clerk for the Supreme Court of Guam where she researched and analyzed issues of first impression for civil and criminal appeals. She was selected to a committee to revise the lawyer disciplinary rules and develop new procedures to appeal dismissals of professional disciplinary complaints. Laura also presented the revised rules and procedures in a CLE to the Guam Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, Laura worked for several years as a litigation associate in Chicago.

- Represented Fortune 500 retail corporation in negligence and premises liability action and successfully moved for summary judgment in federal court;
- Represented receiver in transportation action and successfully moved for dismissal of the plaintiff’s complaint;
- Represented general contractor in construction negligence and breach of contract action where client was dismissed by way of amended complaint;
- Represented nationwide entertainment company in tort action involving a minor and negotiated a favorable settlement;
- Represented insurance brokerage firm and broker in fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and breach of fiduciary duty action;
- Represented Fortune 500 retail pharmacy in negligence, premises liability, products liability, and professional liability actions;
- Represented retailer of industrial-grade machinery in products liability and wrongful death action;
- Participated in presuit multiparty mediation of complex commercial and environmental claims where plaintiff alleged multi-million dollar damages.
