Summary Judgment Granted in Short-Term Rental Dispute

In a case involving the ability of a homeowner to use his real property as a short-term rental, Reeves and Brightwell's client was recently granted summary judgment in Travis County court. The Court held that the relevant deed restrictions did not preclude rental of property for periods shorter than 30 days. In the same case, Reeves & Brightwell's client also succeeded in defeating motions for a temporary restraining order and to compel joinder of the neighboring homeowners. 4200 CMD, LLC v.
