Luke is a practical problem solver whose practice focuses on complex products liability matters, catastrophic fire and explosion defense, and general litigation. Luke graduated from Northwestern Law School and began his legal career in the Chicago area before joining Reeves & Brightwell in 2007. Clients frequently rely on Luke in urgent situations requiring real time risk assessment and the coordination of multiple parties and stakeholders. Luke has significant experience litigating and advising clients on matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, indemnification, fraud, and breach of a non-compete agreement or other restrictive covenant in an employment contract.

  • Represented computer manufacturer in domestic and international products liability actions
  • Advised client on risk avoidance and compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
  • Represented electrical utility in complex tort litigation stemming from wildfire against claims brought by subrogating insurance carriers and individuals
  • Represented construction material manufacturer in products liability actions filed on behalf of subrogating interests and homeowners
  • Represented multiple victims of political and religious oppression who sought asylum in the United States
